Edmund James Banfield [The Beachcomber] 

Born Liverpool England 4th Sep. 1852. Died Dunk Island 2nd June 1923. 

'If a man does not keep pace with his companions perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears'. 

The tombstone of his wife, Bertha, was later added to the grave after her death.
